Welcome to Five Card Mulligan Poker
Five Card Mulligan is a very popular form of poker today. This version of poker has three different possible payouts, i.e. Ante, Bonus and Raise bet payouts.
The game is played using a 52-card deck with Jokers removed. You compete against the dealer. The game creates the best 5-card poker hand for you and the dealer. Your hand is compared with the dealer's hand.
If your hand has a higher value than that of the dealer, you win. If the hand values are the same, it's a tie and your Ante / Raise bet is returned back to you.
Payouts for Bonus bets are independent of the main game result. Ante and Raise bet payouts are based on the Ante/Raise paytable. The result is calculated based on your hand compared to dealer's hand.
How to Play Five Card Mulligan
When Five Card Mulligan is started for the first time, the game table is empty and the default bet amount coin for $1 is active.
You can start playing by placing an Ante bet. Once Ante bet is placed, you can place a Bonus bet if you wish. You cannot place a Bonus bet without placing the Ante bet.
Once bets have been placed, click on the Deal button. After clicking the deal button, game is played in the following manner:
The dealer gives you 5 cards face up, and himself 5 cards face down.
You have two options at this stage, to 'keep hand' or 'take mulligan’.
If you choose to 'keep hand', the cards are then tucked underneath the Ante bet.
If you choose to 'take mulligan', you will then discard of your cards and will have to make a ‘Raise’ wager equal to the Ante wager.
The bonus bet is immediately lost if a Mulligan is taken.
The dealer will then deal 5 new cards to you.
At this point the dealer’s cards are turned over.
If the dealer has Ace high or greater than the dealer will stand.
If the dealer has King High or less than the dealer will take a Mulligan.
If the dealer takes a Mulligan his cards are discarded and the dealer gets 5 new cards.
Both your and the dealer's hands are now exposed and can be compared. The higher hand wins (according to conventional poker rules).
Player Wins: If the player has the higher hand both the Ante and Raise will pay out accordingly based on the pay table.
Dealer Wins: If the dealer has the higher hand then the player will lose Ante, and Raise wager if made.
Any bonus bet placed will pay out according to the Bonus Bet pay table.
Tie/Push: In the case of a tie/push the Ante and Raise bets will be returned to the player. If a bonus bet is placed and the dealer and player push (using the initial 5 cards given to the player), the player will still win for the bonus bet. The win amount for the bonus bet will be paid out according to the bonus paytable.
To play again, click on the Rebet button.

Types of Bets in Five Card Mulligan
There are three types of bets which can be placed in Five Card Mulligan Poker:
Ante Bet:
The player places an “ANTE” to start the game. This bet can be placed by choosing a coin and clicking on the Ante circle on the game table. Once the Ante is placed the player pushes the deal button and the cards are dealt. Payouts for this bet type are based on the Ante Paytable. Winning hand is based on comparison on your cards to that of the dealer. Ante payouts are paid out on the Ante bet only.
Raise Bet:
The player will have to make a “RAISE” bet if they chose to take a Mulligan on the first 5 cards they are dealt. The RAISE bet must be equal to the ANTE bet placed.
Bonus Bet:
You can make a BONUS BET by placing a $1 - 25 bet in the Bonus Bet area. You cannot place a Bonus bet without having placed the Ante bet first . This is done before the cards are dealt. The bonus only pays out on the initial Five cards. If you decide to take a Mulligan the bonus bet is removed from the table and is automatically lost. You are eligible for the Bonus payout in addition to the regular ante (and raise) payout only if a BONUS BET is placed.
